ICC Sustainability Conclave 2021

While the chemical industry immensely contributes to the quality of life by making available various technological solutions and products available to almost all sectors, it is equally important to manage it sustainably....
With the rapid increase in urbanization, demand for better & efficient products, preference for lesser harmful and more environment friendly products etc., the demand for chemicals is poised for significant growth. At the same time, the public perception & awareness towards protection of their environment has also increased manifolds. This has led the companies to focus more towards achieving sustainability in their overall operations by focusing on the greener, environmentally friendly products, cleaner manufacturing processes etc.
Taking ahead the success of the first edition, we are pleased to inform you that the Indian Chemical Council (ICC), the principal industry body representing the chemical and petrochemical sectors in India, is organizing the Second Edition of "ICC Sustainability Conclave: Sustainability makes Economic Sense" to be held on 20 th  -21 st  January 2021.
The conclave is being organized jointly with the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) and United Nations Environment Program (UNEP). It is being organised in close coordination with the Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change; and the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India.
The Conclave will broadly focus on the following areas:
• CEOs perspective on Sustainability – Indian and Global
• Minimizing Environmental & Societal Impact -A Sustainable Approach;
• Sustainable practices across the World;
• Sustainable Chemicals Management- Evolving Regulatory Frameworks;
• Innovation Drives Sustainability;
• Promoting Resource Efficiency & Circularity;
• Issues in Management - Air, Soil, Water;
• Towards a Pollution Free Planet- Role of multi-stakeholder Partnership;
• etc.
There's a virtual knowledge centre / exhibition as well. Leaders amongst the technology providers will exhibit their technologies and offerings here. This is specific to Chemicals & Petrochemicals industry showcasing technologies which help the industry become sustainable and reducing their carbon footprints.
The conclave will be attended by CEOs and representatives of the Indian and global chemical companies, Leaders in environmental management, Central and State Government officials, Pollution Control Boards, international multilateral organizations, Global chemical industry bodies and experts from Academia and civil society organizations.

INDIAN CHEMICAL COUNCIL (ICC) the apex national body representing all branches of the Chemical Industry in India such as Organic & Inorganic Chemicals, Plastics & Petrochemicals & Petroleum Refineries, Dyestuffs & Dye-intermediates, Fertilizers & Pesticides, Specialty Chemicals, Paints etc.

The Indian Chemical Council is dedicated to the growth of the Indian Chemical Industry. Established in 1938, ICC has over the years grown its functions and offerings to cater to the varying needs of the Indian Chemical Industry.
